# Tips and overtime paycheck calculator (2026)

Restaurant and hospitality checks often mix a cash wage, tips, and overtime. Takehome Cash does not have a tips field or a tip-credit engine. Add typical tips to the wage you type, and treat overtime as extra hours or extra wages you enter yourself.

There is no hidden tips tax calculator. Reported tips are extra income for federal, FICA, and (usually) state purposes; if you omit them, the estimate is only the clock wage. A simple sketch: $25 × 40 = $1,000 plus $150 tips is $1,150 weekly gross — that is the weekly sample comparison below.

Overtime is also user-entered. The engine does not apply 1.5× automatically. Raise hours or blend the premium into the rate, same as the overtime page.

Allocated tips, tip credits against minimum wage, and service charges are outside this model. Reviewed August 24, 2026.

No. Add typical tips to hourly/weekly gross so they are in the annualized wage.

### Do you tax tips differently?

No separate tips engine. Amounts you add are treated like other wages in the 2026 federal, FICA, and state model.

### How do I add overtime and tips together?

Build a typical week’s gross (clock + OT pay + tips) and enter that weekly amount, or use hourly hours plus a higher rate.
